Our Policies
Some key policies help give an understanding of Threshold’s approach to working with service users. A summary of these is provided. Please contact our head office if you would like a full copy.
Equal Opportunities
Threshold does not accept or tolerate discrimination against any person on the grounds of age, class, colour, disability, gender, HIV status, marital status, nationality, parental status, racial origin, religious belief or sexual orientation. We actively promote equality of opportunity for all staff and service users of the organisation.
Protection from Abuse
Threshold recognises that the abuse of children and vulnerable people is a reality. We recognise that we have a duty of care to those who use our service, and we are committed to working within current legislation and codes of good practice. We aim to afford vulnerable adults the same protection as those aged under eighteen within our services.
Code of Conduct
The code applies to all staff, trustees and volunteers. It sets out the standards of conduct, performance and practice expected of everyone working for or representing Threshold.
Complaints
Complaints can be from service users, family and/or friends of service users, other agencies, contractors, neighbours to the schemes and other third parties. All complaints whether verbal or written will be dealt with on an equal basis and should be passed on to staff immediately or as soon as possible. Staff will deal with complaints quickly and efficiently. Threshold views complaints as a positive tool to improve service delivery.
Support
Threshold is committed to providing good quality and regular support work and support planning to all its service users. Threshold has an established way of working with service users, comprising a balance of support, advocating, planning, information sharing and goal setting.
